When you are not sure if your idea is a profitable one, go through this list:
Part 0: Spotting Opportunities (if you don’t yet have an idea)
- [ ] Strengths → Have I listed my skills, knowledge, or experiences I can use?
- [ ] Passions → Have I noted things I’d love to work on long-term?
- [ ] Frustrations → Have I captured real problems I see daily?
- [ ] Market Signals → Have I checked trends, forums, or conversations for gaps?
If you have at least one NO:
- Write down at least 5 things people often come to you for advice/help.
- List 3 topics you could talk about for hours without getting bored.
- Write down 5 things that annoy you at work/home and ask: “Would I pay to solve this?”
- Do a quick Google Trends search or Reddit scroll in your niche.
If you can’t check at least 3 boxes here → use the Idea Bank Cheatsheet to generate raw ideas.
Part 1: Demand (Who + Why)
- [ ] Problem → Do I know what problem I’m solving?
- [ ] Customer → Do I know who has this problem and how much it hurts?
- [ ] Solution Awareness → Do I know how they’re solving it today?
